Series of photographs created at Lakkos artist residency at Heraklion, Crete in July 2023.
Heralion is a unique Greek city. Situated in popular holiday resorts, it is torn apart between touristy activities, evidence of ancient history and the daily life of its residents. The city is filled with beautiful and neglected family villas that are proof of personal histories and different cultures new residents from all around the world brought to Crete. This experience made a lasting impression on me, and I am grateful to Lakkos Artist residency for this opportunity to explore Crete in a more intimate way. All of the photographs are created on film, using analogue 35mm camera.
